Mechatronics Engineer Intern – Hardware

We are seeking a Mechatronics Engineer Intern to join our engineering team. This internship will focus on testing and characterizing motors, inspecting printed circuit boards (PCBs), and testing fixtures and equipment. The intern will be directly involved in hands-on engineering tasks that are crucial for the development and production of our technology.

Full-time

Responsibilities

  • Conduct tests on products and various types of motors
  • Inspect and evaluate PCBs to ensure they meet specifications 
  • Assist in the assembly and testing of fixtures and equipment 
  • Assist team members with debugging and root cause analysis on electromechanical systems
  • Create Documentation and report 
  • Assemble, test and assist in the development of prototypes and subsystems
  • Implement and conduct product reliability testing.  Design test and QA procedures.

Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Mechatronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Basic understanding of motor mechanics, electronic circuits, and control systems.
  • Experience in using measurement and diagnostic tools to test and troubleshoot equipment.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documents, such as schematics and mechanical drawings.
  • Hands on skills in CAD, 3D printing, soldering, prototyping, circuit design, and electronics testing.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with an attention to detail.

Nice to Haves

  • Examples of personal projects demonstrating competence in software/hardware
  • Interest in consumer electronics technology, gaming, AR/VR, tech trends
  • Proficiency in other languages, especially Chinese, Japanese, and Korean

  • Practical and theoretical knowledge applicable to mechatronics engineering.
  • Strong teamwork skills and the ability to work effectively with minimal supervision.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Enthusiasm for learning and continuous improvement.
